YERBA BUENA GARDENS

San Francisco, California
Features: Prominent park at and over Moscone Center in San Francisco. The new San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Max Theater are located there also. Because of the tremendous use of the park by many people, the irrigation system had to be out of site but yet accessible to maintenance.

Cost: Irrigation only:
Budgeted: $450,000
Actual: $450,000
Installed: Fall of 1994
Scope of Work: Irrigation construction drawings were completed after an extensive irrigation/water use plan was presented. Water use was an issue not only from the AB325 State Water Ordinance, but also because we were pumping from a well beneath Moscone Center. The well only produced 30 gallons per minute and we needed twice that amount so therefore we needed a storage tank from which to pump. Construction observation was also provided
